Tanya Lamothe, Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager of Capital One Bank Dallas Group has LIVED UNITED since 2000. Like many United Way supporters, Tanya was introduced to the organization through the workplace campaign at her first job. Through the years she has gained a greater understanding of United Way and the impact her dollars make through the organization.
“[United Way] touches on a variety of different needs across our community and continually examines the landscape for areas that need the most help. Once those are identified, partner agencies are held accountable,” Tanya said.
When Tanya was a retail manager she saw how United Way impacted local organizations and many times, her own clients. She included those individuals in the company’s group meetings to give a face to what the bank was involved with by doing a United Way campaign. The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas 2008 Campaign Chair, Kent Eastman, asked her to lead the campaign for the bank in the DFW area when she moved to the commercial group.
Her own giving is a testament of her belief in the organization as she has been a Leadership Giver, an individual who gives $1,000 or more per year, for the past three years. Tanya’s proudest career accomplishment is opening the first deNovo branch for our predecessor, Hibernia Band in the new Dallas market.
Tanya is a graduate of TexasA&MUniversity, is married and has two daughters, ages 3 ½ and 7 months. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and playing with her girls. She is also a volunteer with the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen and is committed to sharing the needs within the community and the importance of sharing with her children.
United Way of Metropolitan Dallas would like to thank Tanya for LIVING UNITED in our community. For more information on Leadership Giving, please visit http://www.unitedwaydallas.org/2.4/LeadershipGiving.html.
