Ray LaDieu

Ray LaDieu, Vice President of Capital One Bank, N.A., represents United Way’s LIVE UNITED message of Give, Advocate and Volunteer through his involvement in United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD) and the community. If you look at the different ways he has helped UWMD, one would assume he has been involved in the organization for many years. However; Ray became a United Way supporter just two years ago, during the 2006 campaign.

In 2006, Ray became involved through the corporate campaign at Capital One Bank which he says was an easy decision. Besides serving as a Campaign Team Captain through his workplace, he has also become an influential member of the UWMD Young Leaders Society (YLS) Steering Committee and has participated in service projects in which YLS has been involved. In 2008, he joined the Campaign Cabinet, a group of corporate volunteers who work to ensure the campaign goal is met. In just two short years he has become quite an asset to the UWMD team!

When asked how he has benefitted from United Way, Ray said, “I am grateful to have been afforded the tremendous opportunity to take on leadership roles within the organization that have helped me to grow as an individual and provided me greater insight into how the organization serves others.” His passion for serving others has made his involvement with United Way invaluable to the organization.

A Georgia Institute of Technology graduate, Ray earned a bachelor’s degree in management in 1994. He has two children and in his spare time enjoys golfing, sporting events, concerts, volunteering and staying physically fit. Ray is active in other community organizations such as Fellowship Church Plano, where he is active in their Singles Ministries, Junior Achievement where he delivers financial education to the youth of Dallas and S.O.U.L. Ministries of Dallas where he donates personal time feeding the homeless.

United Way of Metropolitan Dallas would like to thank Ray LaDieu for LIVING UNITED in our community through giving, advocating and volunteering.
