P. Scott Ozanus

P. Scott Ozanus, Southwest Area Managing Partner with KPMG, LLP, has LIVED UNITED since 1982. As a long time United Way supporter, Scott has prioritized volunteering in his busy professional and personal life and given back to the Dallas community continually during the last 25 years.

A Loyal Contributor, Scott began his involvement with United Way in the early 1980’s as a donor. However his belief in giving back to the community both monetarily and with his time led him to becoming more involved with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD). In 2000, he joined the UWMD Board of Directors as the organization was moving into the Community Impact model, refocusing efforts on not only fundraising, but creating real, lasting change. Then in 2006, Scott became the Campaign Chair and led UWMD to their highest reaching goal to date of $55.6 million. He currently is Chair UWMD’s Tocqueville Society, a society in which members contribute $10,000 or more annually, and serves as UWMD Board Chair-elect.

When asked why he contributes to UWMD, he said, “United Way has demonstrated the ability to identify the greatest needs within our community, and invest donor dollars in programs that address these needs and measure the outcomes. United Way is in a position to leverage all donor contributions according to the needs of the community.”

Scott earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and has been employed with KPMG for six years. He is married to Debbie and has four children. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, reading and spending time with his family at the lake. Scott said his most proud accomplishment is achieving a successful business career that has allowed him to be active in the Dallas community.

United Way would like to thank P. Scott Ozanus for LIVING UNITED in the Dallas community by giving, advocating and volunteering.
