Join the Live United Movement: Dallas, Collin, Rockwall & Southern Denton Counties
Michelle Patrick

Michelle Patrick has been a dedicated United Way volunteer since 2004. Her experience with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD) began as a member of the Community Needs Assessment Technical Advisory Committee (CNATAC) in 2004. Her role in this particular aspect of the United Way system has grown and she now serves as the Vice Chair of the same committee this year.

As a Grant Development Officer for Collin County, in 2004, Michelle was asked to seek out new funding sources for the County as well as provide assistance to non-profits in securing external funding. She became involved with the United Way CNATAC because, when working with government and non-profit programs and projects, the availability of county level data is critical in program development, planning and implementation.

Now, as WIC Director, her expertise and daily work in health care services has made her a necessity to this committee. And while UWMD sees her as imperative to the overall success of the Community Needs Assessment, Michelle credits everyone else saying, "I have had the opportunity to network and learn from knowledgeable community program experts from the region and develop collaborative relationships critical to our communities."

Michelle currently serves as the WIC Director for Collin County Health Care Services. Along with her United Way volunteer efforts, she also serves as board member for Hope's Door and Program Manager for the Collin County Health Care Foundation's annual grant program.

United Way of Metropolitan Dallas thanks Michelle for Living United through giving, advocating and volunteering in the community.
