A passionate baseball fan, Clint McDonnough (pictured front, center with the 2009 Campaign Cabinet) doesn’t see his role as the 2009 United Way of Metropolitan Dallas campaign chair as a challenge — he sees it as a homerun.
With humor, dedication and a competitive spirit, McDonnough says he and his campaign cabinet will be “hitting it out of the park” this year.
A focus on the positive — not the negative — is McDonnough’s leadership style. The current economy and its impact on individuals and companies will not be the campaign’s focal point.
“We’re Texans. We’ll come out of this all right,” McDonnough said. “It’s about remaining optimistic, pushing through and getting the job done.”
With an attitude like that, United Way could not have chosen a better team player to serve in the most vital role for the organization’s fundraising efforts.
As Dallas office managing partner for Ernst & Young (EY), his employer for more than 30 years, he is responsible for creating a positive work environment for more than 1,200 employees in one of the firm’s largest markets.
United Way would like to thank Clint McDonnough for LIVING UNITED and stepping up to the plate in our communities by serving as the 2009 campaign chair.
