Cindy Spann lives her life by Luke 12:48
"To whom much is given,
much shall be required,"
and has tried to instill this virtue
in her children as well.

I am a 14-year supporter of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD) and I have a passion for volunteering.

Volunteering our time and talent is one of the best ways we can “give” to others. For me, this is one of the ways I express my gratitude for all of the blessings I have received.

During these difficult economic times, I have been proud to serve as chair of the Earn it!Keep it!$ave it! Oversight Committee at UWMD. Through this free tax preparation program, more than $5.1 million has been put back into the pockets of hard working, low-income Dallas families.

I also currently serve on the UWMD Board of Directors and as the vice chair of the Community Investment Committee. My involvement on the priority needs grant panels has helped to invest millions of dollars raised through the United Way campaign to our best community agencies and programs.

I encourage each of you to LIVE UNITED and get involved in our community by giving, advocating and volunteering through United Way.
