Aviall Services LIVES UNITED in the Dallas area through their work to consistently rank as a Top 120 Campaign for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD). This year, their amazing team of United Way advocates stressed the increased need for community during this struggling economy through company activities and meetings in an effort to increase awareness.
Deborah Pettie, Adam Polter and Jeff Murphy led the company to the largest United Way campaign in Aviall history. These leaders were complimented with a team of twenty who worked through every detail of the campaign. They increased communications and employee education through company meetings and held friendly competition between departments through “Change Wars” which helped publicize the campaign. The ever popular $1 item in-office bake sale was another successful, creative event that got employees excited about donating to United Way.
During the 2008 campaign, Leadership Giving Chair, Adam Polter led the Leadership campaign to the best results in Aviall history. His efforts resulted in seventeen new Leadership givers, individuals who contribute $1,000 or more annually, for a total of 35! Aviall also gained an additional Tocqueville Donor, individuals who give $10,000 or more annually, for a total of three!
During a time when many businesses and individuals could decrease donations, Aviall went above and beyond, digging deep to support UWMD. The company doubled their financial support and continued their sponsorship of a Campaign Associate (CA), temporary employees from August to November who help the United Way staff run more than 1,000 workplace campaigns. United Way could not reach all campaigns without CAs and the companies who sponsor them.
Overall, the 2008 campaign total was $174,003, a 60% increase from their 2007 campaign!
