Wells Fargo strives to satisfy all their customers' financial needs, help them succeed financially as well as to be the premier provider of financial services in every one of their markets.
John Gavin, Wells Fargo’s regional president, Dallas/Fort Worth, expresses Wells Fargo’s commitment to being an active community leader.
"At Wells Fargo, we help our communities because we know that for our company to succeed, our communities must succeed. This is where we all live, work and play, and we’re dedicated to helping our communities grow and prosper. As an active community leader in more than 180 communities across Texas, Wells Fargo is committed to the company’s long-standing tradition of community involvement and charitable giving."
With this level of commitment to their customers and to the community, Wells Fargo received several of United Way America’s National Summit Awards for Community Leadership, Corporate Community Investment and Employee Community Engagement. These awards recognize a company’s commitment in local communities.
In our local community, Wells Fargo employees supported the needs of North Texans by contributing $242,657 during the 2007 campaign. They are ranked number 45 out of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ (UWMD) Top 120 Campaigns. For their 2008 campaign, Wells Fargo is planning to focus on Leadership giving, individuals who give $1,000 or more annually, and using educational meetings to encourage their employees to LIVE UNITED by giving, advocating and volunteering.
Wells Fargo supports United Way’s efforts to help children and youth achieve their potential by providing a $40,000 sponsorship since 2006 to support Destination: Graduation, UWMD’s drop-out prevention program. Students who graduate from high school on time, with the motivation and foundation necessary to pursue advanced education, are better equipped to be tomorrow’s employees and lead strong successful families.
United Way would like to thank Wells Fargo for LIVING UNITED everyday through giving, advocating and volunteering in our community.
