Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal

The law firm of Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal (CCSB), L.L.P, LIVES UNITED by giving, advocating and volunteering in several ways through United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD).  Their generosity of both time and donations shows that their heart is as big as the firm’s presence in the Metroplex.

In 2007, the firm continued their legacy of exemplary support with a total contribution to UWMD of $72,255. Employees helped the firm post a 22% increase over the 2006 campaign and an additional 14 employees gave at the Leadership level of $1,000 or more annually. CCSB also has an impressive 69% employee participation rate. They are off to an exciting start to their 2008 campaign with 19 Leadership Givers already!

Beyond their generous support, the firm’s attorneys lead through personal involvement with United Way as well. CCSB attorney David Coale serves on our Campaign Cabinet, while Shelbi Barnhouse and Sharon Shumway volunteer their time on Community Investment Panels - committees made up of volunteers who determine the best way to invest campaign funds. And attorney Michael Peterson is an Executive Volunteer on the United Way Foundation Board.

In addition, CCSB has provided pro bono services to UWMD since 2001. Collectively they have contributed thousands of dollars of their billable time to United Way. Their dedicated work has helped UWMD in a myriad of ways over the years. The value of their services is immeasurable and greatly appreciated.

To leadership and employees at CCSB, the success isn’t just about dollars raised. They strive to motivate their staff by sharing the needs of the Dallas community. The firm has produced a culture of giving that is sustainable and undeniable.

CCSB truly knows what it means to LIVE UNITED and United Way would like to thank them for giving, advocating and volunteering in our community.
