Nationstar Mortgage (NSM) is a company that believes actions speak louder than words and continues to help United Way improve lives in our communities every day.
LIVING UNITED in every sense, employees Give, Advocate and Volunteer throughout the year. Even during these uncertain times, NSM’s 2008-09 United Way campaign saw an increase of 91 percent over the previous year. One important factor to this incredible campaign was the spike in Leadership Givers, individuals who donate $1,000 or more annually, from nine to 30.
NSM also keeps its employees motivated during campaign season with drawings and departmental challenges promoting teamwork internally and resulting in strong results for the campaign and the community.
Employees are also involved with a United Way partner agency, the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County. During the 2008 holiday season, NSM adopted eight families and collected household items, clothing and food. Other volunteer opportunities include food drives and blood drives that continue to garner strong support and success.
