Regions Bank

Regions Bank turned up the heat to make its 2008 campaign a success with competition and recognition fueling the drive.

Pitting city president against city president, sales manager against sales manager, branch manager against branch manager and head teller against head teller, the competition was high across the company’s 18 Metroplex locations. To up the ante Executive Vice President Marc Angle and his counterpart Scott Jones agreed that the losing team’s vice president would wear a clown wig to the other’s office.

All in good fun and for the benefit of the campaign, the employees got into the competition and raised nearly $70,000 in 2008 — a phenomenal jump from the nearly $8,000 raised in 2007. A staggering 25 individuals became Leadership Givers, donors who give $1,000 or more annually to United Way — up from zero the previous year.

During the 2008-09 campaign, Regions Bank was recognized twice by United Way for their incredible success. In the business category of less than 500 employees, the company was first presented with the Highest Increase Award during the November 2008 Pacesetter Recognition Luncheon.  At United Way’s Heroes of Hope campaign finale celebration, the company was presented with the Leadership Giving Award to recognize their strong increase in Leadership Giving.

United Way of Metropolitan Dallas would like to thank Regions Bank for LIVING UNITED in our community by Giving, Advocating and Volunteering to improve lives in our communities.
