Motivated to have a successful United Way campaign, BancTec employees mobilized other staff nationwide to get involved through an online auction.
For more than 35 years, employees and senior management have strived to develop a generous and community-minded spirit as they have cultivated relationships with customers, employees and community organizations.
“In our experience, one of the best ways to build strong relationships is participation in the United Way campaign,” J. Coley Clark, chairman and chief executive officer of BancTec, said.
The creativity and ingenuity of the company’s employees led to a 28 percent increase in their United Way campaign, fêted by a grand finale carnival.
The results were something to celebrate as the BancTec team increased leadership givers — individuals who contribute $1,000 or more annually to United Way — and won the 2008 Leadership Giving Award for its company size at the Heroes of Hope campaign finale.
The shared sense of purpose between employees fueled by their internal campaign has made the company stronger. The spirit of giving has increased camaraderie as individuals learned of colleagues helped by United Way agencies.
For its generosity, commitment to our community and volunteer spirit, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas would like to thank BancTec for LIVING UNITED.
