United Way of Metropolitan Dallas would like to thank the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas for LIVING UNITED in our community. Through giving and volunteering, the Dallas Fed’s employees have continued to support United Way as a Pacesetter Campaign, despite a tough economic climate.
The Dallas Fed has an incredible team of individuals who volunteer for UWMD through their work as part of the campaign team. The 2008 team was led byWilliam Camp, Denanne Green, and Robert Moore. In addition to setting a financial goal, the team also wanted to raise awareness within the Dallas Fed of United Way as well as internal appreciation for community involvement.
The key campaign strategies were to increase participation, increase the number of leadership givers, focus on education, communicate with retirees and encourage participation in fun activities like jeans day and the dessert bake-off. With a Live United: “Give Green” theme, the team emphasized that living green takes care of the natural environment, but giving green takes care of the human environment by helping those that need a hand.
Dallas Fed employees exceeded their goal and have continued to be a Top 120 Campaign, raising more than $175,800 in 2008 for UWMD. With a focus on Leadership Giving, individuals who donate $1,000 or more per year to United Way, they increased their campaign 13% over the previous year. This focus has also increase the number of people who give at the leadership level from 64 in 2007 to 68 in 2008 and now makes up 56% of employee giving overall.
United Way of Metropolitan Dallas would like to thank the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and its employees for LIVING UNITED in our community. Your gifts of time, talent and treasure help UWMD complete its mission to improve lives in our community.
